# airporttraffic.info

Live estimate of how busy airport terminals are. For each supported airport we
poll the airport's own public departure board (at most every 5 minutes), draw
every departing flight as a bar from passenger arrival (default 3 h before
departure) until boarding close (default 30 min before), and sum the overlaps
into a per-minute relative load curve. The peak of that curve is the day's
busiest moment; the curve is an index (every flight weighted equally), not a
headcount.

  { airport, fetchedAt, flights[], security? } where each flight is
  { flightNo, airline, destination, destinationIata, sched, estimated,
    status, cancelled, terminal, gate }. Times are UTC ISO 8601.
  "estimated" is only set when it differs from schedule. "security" (CPH
  only) carries live security-queue waiting times per terminal.

Data is cached server-side for 5 minutes; please do not poll faster.
API requests are rate limited per IP (burst 60, refill 1/second); exceeding
it returns HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header.
The load curve is modelled, not measured. Flight times come from the
airports' own boards and are as reliable as those. Attribution appreciated:
